Williams ( f. 19th century), indistinctly signed l.r.: Williams 1854 and inscribed centre left: SIR THOMAS GEORGE FERMOR-HESKETH BARONET MP FOR PRESTON 1862-1872/ MARRIED ANNA MARIA ARABELLA DAU OF THOMAS WILLIAM 4TH EARL OF POMFRET. A three-quarter length, standing, wearing a black coat with white waistcoat, leaning on a chair.The sitter was the eldest son of Sir Thomas Henry Hesketh, 4th Bt. And his wife Annette Maria, daughter of Robert Bomford of Rahinstown House, County Meath. In 1846, following the early death of his father, he inherited the baronetcy. he was Colonel of the South Lancashire Militia, and was M.P. for Preston from 1862 to his death in 1872. On 10th March 1846 he married Lady Anna Maria Fermor, eldest daughter of Thomas Fermor, 4th Earl of Pomfret, who was heiress to Easton Neston and all the Pomfret estates. On the death in 1867 of his brother-in-law, George, 5th Earl of Pomfret, he inherited the 5,000 acre estate of Easton Neston. He assumed the name of Fermor in addition to Hesketh, and spent his last years improving the property.
