#L5-1. Thomas Griest of Fremont, West Nottingham Twp., Chester Co., Pa., d. before 3-7-1825, m. 9-15-1779 by John Beard, Priscilla Brabson, b. 4-1-1757, of Thomas Brabson & Hannah. The Chester County Courthouse records show that Thomas had no will and everything was given to his son L6-9 Jacob. Thomas Brabson settled in Little Britain Twp., Lancaster Co., Pa., in 1738. His WILL is recorded at Lancaster Vol. 1-I, page 23. He died before 3-2-1792. Sons: Thomas and John. Daughters: PRECILLA Griest and Mary Dinsmore. Ella & Evans History of Lancaster Co., Pa., page 938, shows, "Thomas Brabston: on 2-15-1748 a Warrant was granted to Thomas Brabston for 50 acres near Henry Reynold's land, and on 1-4-1759 another for 25 acres next to his other land. On these two warrants, 165 acres were surveyed in Little Britain north of Octoraro Creek. It is now owned by Henry P. Townsend and the heirs of Reuben Cook." Octoraro Creek is the County Line between Little Britain Twp., Lancaster Co., on the northwest and West Nottingham Twp., Chester Co., on the southeast. Thomas & Priscilla had the following children born in West Nottingham Twp., Chester Co., Pa.
